The division still exists.

I wanted to think that it was over. With the last gasps of covid19, I thought we could return to a time of sanity. A time like before when we may have disagreed with other people but still respected their right not to agree.

That seems to have disappeared.

I stood outside the bar on Saturday night. We were having a safety meeting, in the shadows. Suddenly my companion started a rant about how Trudeau and the World Economic Forum were the enemies and the country was full of stupid people. Don’t ask me how the subject came up – I have no idea.

But there we were four Canadians having a meeting of the minds and one mind decided to rant. And rant he did. I stood and listened to him basically calling me and a vast majority of Canadians stupid. I don’t like to get controversial on this site but…

Well, you get my drift.

I just stood there puffing away and listening. Thankfully his other friend cut it short, it wasn’t the time or place to bring that kind of shit up. Still, I honestly thought that we were past most of the crap around covid. But the divide has been created so deep it may never go away. I wouldn’t think too much about it except, earlier in the day I had another person come up to me preaching the same thing.

And that was what made it scary. They were preaching – Trudeau and the WEF were the enemies. They were fighting him and anyone who didn’t agree was asleep or stupid or whatever.

But they give Trudeau way too much credit. He is a figurehead, a pawn. And the WEF is a worldwide organization created to ensure the wealthy stay that way, but this is nothing new.

There are many things wrong in the world and we are not aware of what is really going on behind the scenes. Oil companies, pharmaceutical companies, Google, etc all want one thing. And that is not to help the ordinary person. They are designed to make the maximum profit.

So who is driving the narrative that the WEF and Trudeau are the enemy? Those that will lose the most from them…

So I decided to research the WEF Their mission statement is as follows:

The World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation.

The Forum engages the foremost political, business, cultural and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

It was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It is independent, impartial and not tied to any special interests. The Forum strives in all its efforts to demonstrate entrepreneurship in the global public interest while upholding the highest standards of governance. Moral and intellectual integrity is at the heart of everything it does.

Our activities are shaped by a unique institutional culture founded on the stakeholder theory, which asserts that an organization is accountable to all parts of society. The institution carefully blends and balances the best of many kinds of organizations, from both the public and private sectors, international organizations and academic institutions.

We believe that progress happens by bringing together people from all walks of life who have the drive and the influence to make positive change.

Seems like a pretty bad organization to me… (That was sarcasm)  Still, anyone can claim to do good things. All the research I can find is this is a non-biased worldwide organization created to bring business and political leaders together. Its aim is to make the world a better place. They may not be succeeding at that, but why are they now this evil organization? Why is it that if I disagree I am considered stupid by those who claim they are the root of all evil? Who is driving the narrative?

Covid is over, our freedom has returned. I never felt mine was threatened through this whole healthcare crisis that just ended. Yet I get why some people did. And the government certainly could have handled it better. But how many times have we said that? It doesn’t matter if it is a conservative or liberal government they all have one thing in common. They were all humans.

Humans make mistakes.

They are also subject to the seven deadly sins – including greed.

Is there a massive conspiracy involving all the world leaders that seek to control everyone – maybe there will in my next sci-fi thriller novel. But the real world is much too complex for that to happen.

Besides life’s too short to spend time and energy stressing about it.

I have way too many other things to worry about than what the WEF is doing. And as far as Trudeau goes, I just want him to stop spending my money so recklessly and get a grip on inflation. If not him then the next pawn in the chain.

In the meantime, I hope everyone can find a way to let go of the division and find a way to work together.

Amen!!! Well said, Cal… even if the world is about to end, I’d rather not have it ranted about it in a pub parking lot!

There is so much wrong going on out there…makes one wonder what the newest generation is going to have to go through.
