The Moon Arises

Published by Victor Barr on

A red glow dimly appears  behind the mountain.

An image, an idea enters our minds eye

what lies beyond the horizon?

The red glow brightens,

yellows and whites emanate

from the crest of the mountains.

Tenderly caressed the glow of the moon emerges,

cradled like a newborn child

between the peaks

blink and it is there.

A sliver at first,

growing,

rising into the sky.

a cosmic blink of an eye

the moon rises to its full glory.

The ghostly white face stares down at us,

 laughing.

 Bask in the moment,

connect in the shared experience

when the moon

greets the night sky

with all its shining glory.
