Rejuvenation

Published by Victor Barr on

Warm breezes caress her face

                                                     like a feather

floating slowly to the earth.

She arises with the changing weather

greeting the dawn with a tender embrace.

The sun rising earlier and with each moment

                                                          the earth begins to grow.

The ground warming, snow melting,

to the valley, her precious water begins to flow.

In the daytime, it continues without lament

Shining higher into the sky

                                           with life giving rays

the sun beams upon the new growth,

she raises them skyward for the coming days

Toward the evening, time goes by.

Setting into the darkening sky

                                           the cycle goes on.

Spring continues the rejuvenation

eternally, changing she awaits the dawn.

Night sets slowly, seasons pass by.
