Biologically Satiated

Published by Victor Barr on

Anxiety for everyone;

doctor,

Nurse and patient

Nasty bug full of contagion

Not a bug at all

just strands of proteins’

survivors doing what they can

wearing their immunity

like a hazmat suit

they are armour plated

bioligically satiated

we all wear our masks

some just have ones that you can’t see

Others wear them in hidden places

Covering their heart

Obscuring their feelings and their faces

Our basic emotions are raw and bare

Fear, anxiety and love

All collide in the days that stretch on

Striving to succeed or to escape

in this grand game you are merely a pawn

That’s so beautiful, Cal. You really are a poet. Have you written more poems like these? You should share them. I love the name of the poem – lets hope they are immune and biologically satiated.

Thank you Marie, I have some I am working on. I saw the news special and the people were talking about having a plate of armour of immunity, it inspired me… Thanks for the comment and I appreciate your feedback
