The first Monday of the rest of my life.

Lately, I have been treating every day as if it was a bad Monday.

It is time to change.  Time is the most precious thing we have. A thing easily wasted, yet not easily replaced. Time…

Monday, March 23, 2020, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery. A journey prompted by a worldwide pandemic that shocked us all into change. For a while, I wrote every day, inspired to record the events of a changing world.

Inspired.

Life seems to have a way of taking over and hi-jacking our inspirations. The everyday necessities can overload our senses and make us forget why we get up and greet the world. We merely go through the motions of it all. Do what it takes to make it through another day.

Sometimes we forget to embrace the moments we are in. We eat, we work, we sleep, and we breathe. Sometimes things happen and kick us down keeping us from growing and learning. Sickness, stress, fear, and loss, can all cause us to wallow in self-doubt and anxiety. Every day we get up and need to be grateful that we can still draw another breath.

Remember to keep breathing.

Life is about so much more.

Yet the daily tasks of survival can take over. I have been struggling to stay inspired and to keep moving forward.

I gain inspiration from the people around me, from those who have conquered their fear and their self-doubt. I would like to be one of those who inspire others.

I have written almost 500 posts on my blog and had over 192,000 hits on the site since I began all those months ago.

I know there is a reason, a bigger goal for me.

And it isn’t to lament how terrible the world has become.

I would love to inspire and entertain to offer a distraction to all that is wrong in the world today. Because even though there are so many things going wrong. There is still a lot that is right.

We must choose what is right. We must choose what is good in the world.

I have hired a coach to help me write my novel. I will continue to share my stories and I will hope to inspire others to live their best life.

It’s time I lived mine.
