March 21, 2022 Monday Musing…

Published by Victor Barr on

It was another Monday in what seems like a lifetime of Mondays. 105 Mondays to be exact since the world flipped on its head. 104 since I began my documentation of the strange situation.

I feel honoured so many of you have joined me on this journey.

I began writing a journal to record my feelings and thoughts about this new pandemic that swept the world. It has taken me places I could not have predicted that fateful Monday, March 23, 2020. The world has gone to so many places since then I feel like we have entered a new reality. A reality where things like zoom have taken over the meeting rooms of the world.

I started this blog to share and document life in a pandemic. I never predicted how many of you it would reach.

On average the blog receives two to three hundred hits every day – even when I don’t publish anything. I feel inspired to continue with my blog and share what I see going on in the world.

The world…

It is the only one we have. The time is now to do our parts to save what is left and not lament what is lost.

The time is now to unite.

I can visualize a future filled with hope – not fear. I know that humanity is capable of so much greatness.

Real change comes from every one of us – every one of you…

It can start with the simplest of things. It can start with talking to each other and truly listening. It can start with looking out for one another.

But it must start.

Social media can be a wonderful tool in helping unite us… it can also be the biggest division we have.

After two years living under the shadow of the coronavirus, it is time for mankind to bloom. We can help by starting at home. Using the three R’s – reduce, reuse, and recycle – in that order.

We can choose to help with our wallets – shop local but think global.  Is that fashionable pair of jeans you are buying made with slave labor in Malaysia? Are the single-use plastics you dispose of the most efficient thing you can do.?

I could carry on with a list of things we can all do to make our world better. I think everyone knows in our hearts what needs to be done.

We just need to have the will to do it.

I hope you’ve learned something from the last 104 Mondays.

I plan to use my blog to share this hope with you. Hope for real change. But I also want to entertain and distract. So I will keep on mixing g things up between my stories and my journal.

Do you agree? Feel free to comment below.

Mixing it up sounds great… Unity is a movement that makes sense to me!! Sharing the positive & minimizing the negative is a good formula…

You are the best!
