I finally heard some common sense coming from a member of the governing Liberal Party of Canada today. MP Joël Lightbound broke ranks and spoke out about the division in our country, he talked very sincerely about his concerns and the concerns of many Canadians around the health measures that have been implemented upon our country. The MP from Quebec talked clearly and concisely about all of the concerns many people in this country have.

Despite the people in the streets that have been protesting for the past ten days.

He even brought his boss the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau to task for his dismissive rhetoric around the protests and the mandates.

He spoke common sense. Something that has been missing for the last couple of years.

Mr. Lightbound also asked for clear information and data to back up the health measures. If the country is to continue with restrictions then the government must share the hard data as to why these restrictions are required.

He also asked for a clear timeline of when we can expect restrictions to end.

During all this when I listened to his press conference my computer and the website it was on started to glitch. Suddenly there were other sources of audio drowning out what Joel Lightbound was saying. I tried to find the source of the audio. It was almost two audio sources at once drowning out what the Liberal MP was saying.

Was there some underlying source that didn’t want me to hear his speech? Were the conspiracy theorists on to something?

I had to exit the web page and reload it to get the audio from his conference to work.

Strange days.

About an hour later I again decided to listen to MP Lightbounds’s speech I was so inspired by his words. Again the audio glitches occurred.

What was going on?

I listened in detail to his clear talk about what he has heard from many Canadians and how the mandates no longer make sense. Our government is even going against what the WHO has most recently recommended in regards to these mandates. A single trucker driving solo presents little to no risk to anyone if he is vaccinated or not.

So why do they bother?

I don’t agree with the approach and the rhetoric around the protest and when I went to the grocery store to half-empty shelves I was again reminded of the issues around our supply chain and the drastic increase in the cost of everything. The protesters and truckers were not helping.

I hope that Mr. Trudeau and the rest of the Liberal government take heed of what MP Lightbound said.

I hope he doesn’t get drowned out in all the political noise.

The Premiers of Saskatchewan and Alberta have introduced timelines to remove covid restrictions. They are listening to the frustration of their people.

Will BC follow suit soon? What is the best answer? We don’t want to be bullied by the protesters…

I hope we are almost at the end of these strange days.

“…we don’t want to be bullied by the protestors”…or by our Gov’t!!

The BC Gov’t declares that my Chiropractor has to be vax’d…to protect me! Now I can’t get the treatment I need…oh, wait… I could go somewhere else… why not just ask unvaxx’d professionals to hang a note on their doors so people can decide if they want to continue going there or not. …ah, but there must be ‘science’ protecting me!

It seems we are going backward in BC. I agree it’s dumb to force chiropractors etc to get vaxxed. I can’t wait for it to end… I was told that these people wouldn’t ride the chairlift with me today because I wasn’t wearing a mask, outdoors… Fine that was their choice, there are still people afraid of the virus
