I have written an entry a day for thirty-six days. Thirty-six days of my observations, my adventures, such as they have been, in the coronaverse. Things have really settled down and we can sense that people have adapted; a new normal is being created.

I turned the TV on; our fuzzy faced PM is there again this morning. I am tired of this TV show, another episode of hand out the Canadian dollar. We are in a routine and I tried to focus on my day.

We had the guy come do the septic tank today, thanks to my darling wife leaving the turkey on the floor. We took care of an important task that was due to be done. I would not want that guys job. It literally is a shitty job. Insert dirty joke here… I feel it may be time for a break in my routine.

Routine is all we really have. Our province promised to tell us about opening things up and easing the health restrictions, soon they say. Soon? I just hope I can run my boat this year; we will get creative to stay within the rules. Rules many people are questioning. Two metres apart, and yet we are closer together than we have been in a long time.

Routine brings us on our walk again. Dairy Queen is getting to know us. Instead of being a regular at the pub, now we can be a regular at the walk-thru. My amazing monster of a teen aged ball of energy and her best friend agree to join us on the walk and we didn’t even try to bribe them with ice-cream. We did end up at DQ anyway. Our social expeditions are now long walks and visiting people as we go.

The brilliant red sky overhead is a reminder that the sun will continue to circle our ball of rock for many days to come. the evening air enhances the bird song that surrounds us. The sweet sounds of the dove and the quail are complimented by many, many other creatures celebrating their life.

I wish everyone a fantastic night and a wonderful day. I know sometimes it’s hard to even have a good day. But I will aim high and wish the best of days every day.
