The madness continues.

In the last two years, the world has spiraled out of control. World events have been like some strange novel that Tom Clancy could have written. Pandemic, fires, floods, war, and now a global recession amongst soaring prices.

It makes a person’s head spin. At times I feel like it may spin right off.

For those people who bought Bitcoin, they just watched their value plummet to depths never thought of. It’s not surprising that the fake currency should nose-dive, the real question would be how did it obtain such heights in the first place?

And in the background of it all is the ongoing war in Ukraine.

They say between 100 and 1000 Ukrainian soldiers a day are dying in defense of their country. I shudder at the thought and wonder – why? Why are the Russians, or better yet Putin carrying on this unneeded war? Why, why, why?

In Kelowna, we wait for the summer to come. I think it would make all of us feel better if we had some warmth and sunshine. Summer is only days away and here we are soaking up the rain and watching the creeks and lakes spill their banks.

I try to stay positive in the face of all the chaos.

It isn’t very easy.

At least the ominous spectre of the pandemic had faded into the background. All anyone of us can do is just keep swimming and keep our head and our spirit above water. Above the chaos.

Just keep swimming… an appropriate sentiment in the face of all the rain.

Just remember this too shall pass.
